ANNA JULIA (AJ) PHEILS
DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Pheils is a Marin County native who grew up in San Rafael and has returned after completing her veterinary degree. She completed her clinical year at Colorado State University and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in September of 2022.
Coming back to Marin was an easy choice for Dr. Pheils as her family, and her partner are here to welcome her back. She is ready to dive into patient care and client education with a focus on animal welfare and preventative medicine. As a veterinarian with a great understanding of the human-animal bond, she hopes to be able to help the community provide quality care to their pets.
Outside of the veterinary office, AJ is an avid hiker and loves to explore the many trails around her home and the surrounding landscape. Her steadfast companion is a 9-year-old, foster-fail, Pitbull mix named Tiger. Quickly worming his way into the hearts of friends and family and as AJ’s trusty shadow, Tiger has affectionately become known as “Hall Monitor” as he must always know where everyone is, constantly monitoring to ensure his people are safe.
